Noronha
![]() |
Fernando de Noronha is one of those remote places still virtually unknown internationally. A kind of iconic site, that lures the visitor with dreamscapes, it has brought both heaven and hell to those who attempted to settle along the centuries. Nowadays, arrival by both plane and boat is restricted to a small number of people per day, and the stay in the island to non habitants is taxed progressively, as to discourage long stays. In off peak seasons, it’s somewhat common to find a beach just for yourself for a while. At night, an eerie atmosphere may claim the whole place. Due to its isolation and the scarce light sources, being on a huge, deserted area, watching the stars actually reflect on the wet sand in a moonless night can be quite an experience. |
